Wedding Guest Books, Wedding Photo Albums, and Layflat Photo Albums represent our premium line of albums and differ based on the pre-selected layouts, which can be fully customized inside the editor.

Each album is the same size and has the same finishing options so they work nicely together in a collection.  They are all printed with a professional silver halide photographic process, leading to a truly unmatched quality that will last for years.

Older Instagram images are too low-res for full-page layouts. If you want to use these images, choose grid layouts with smaller photo slots to avoid pixelation.

Yes! You can order any of the books from your phone, or using our iOS App. If you have an iPhone, this is the best experience for most products except the Layflat Albums.

For our Layflat Albums, they be made from your phone, but a lot of people prefer designing those on a laptop because there are more layout decisions to make and there are a few more options visible in the browser on your computer. We do recommend using your computer for the Layflat Albums, Wedding Album & Guest Book.

Our Layflat Photo Albums and Wedding Layflat Albums are printed on archival silver halide photo paper. That's the same chemical photographic process used for darkroom prints; stored normally they'll outlast you. It's the standard most premium album makers charge $250+ for (and ours are just $149!)

The rest of our books (Tiny Books, Mini Books, Softcover, Hardcover) are press printed on high-quality paper that holds up for many years. We have examples of these all from 10+ years ago which still look great today.

We put a lot of thought into making Social Print Studio the easiest way to make a photo book. For most people the easiest books to make are the Hardcover, Softcover or Tiny Books.

After years in the photo printing industry, we have seen thousands of options for paper type, sizing, binding, materials & print process. Our photo book options are carefully selected, and while we have slightly fewer options than some competitors, the photo books we offer represent our picks of the best options available anywhere.

If you want more layout control, we designed our Softcover, Hardcover and Layflat photobook editors to you drag photos onto pre-made templates or build custom spreads. You're never starting from a blank page, and we don't paywall features behind a "pro" tier.

After fourteen years of printing these, a few patterns come up over and over.

Some people upload photos that are too small to print large. A photo can look fine on Instagram and still come out soft on paper. Our editor flags low-resolution images before checkout, but it's still the most common reason a finished book disappoints someone.

People also tend to fill every page edge to edge. Whitespace can help a photo feel important. Cramming nine images onto a spread makes them feel like clutter, even when each one is great on its own.

Sequencing matters, the best photo books may not always be strictly chronological but it usually works well. If not, make sure you tell a story, or group like photos together. Got lots of selfies from a single shoot? Instead of picking 1, choose a layout with 4 in a grid.

Heavy photo editing can also be killer. Too many filters that pop on a phone screen can shift weirdly when they hit photo paper, often people feel they get too red. A lighter touch editing almost always print better!.

Of course, the biggest mistake is not printing a photo book! :) One reason we created Tiny Books was for the cute factor, another is that they motivate people to print their photos, and once you hold your photo book in your hand, you'll be so pleased you will wonder what took you so long.
